Autumn Pics of Michigan, Michigan

Autumn is like Catnip!

WOW!  I finally cleared the memory cards off of both my cameras and backed everything up on my portable hard drive.  I took over 2,000 pictures taken in the past 6-9 months, and hundreds of said pictures were taken since mid September.  Yes.  I am a shutterbug and proud of it.

Autumn leaves, Michigan, 10-9-12

I swear, if I had the means to take off work from mid September through all of October…I would.

I LOVE Autumn!!!

There’s so much happening at this time of the year.  Autumn is too glorious of a month to stay indoors.  It’s one of the most wonderfully distracting seasons of all time.  The weather turns cooler.  The clothes are fabulous.  Fall jackets?  Too cute!  Heck, most of my clothes are in autumn hues.  The food is perfect.  Hot cocoa.  Hot tea.  Hot coffee.  Soup.  Chili.  Roasts.  Casseroles.  It’s the end of the season for the farmer’s markets and local produce stands.  It’s the best time of the year to stock up on locally grown tomatoes.  Yum!  The trees decide to cross-dress.  There’s a festival of some sort going on every weekend.  Autumn makes me feel happy to be alive.  Yeah!!!!

I got up at sunrise to take pics today. 10-9-12

Anyways, I have a ton of pictures to share and a ton of activities scheduled for this month, which means even more pictures.  LOL  Still editing in spits and spurts, but nothing like I was before.  I’m OK with that.  If I can get through a couple of pages every day or two, I’m happy.  I was following a nice little schedule, but then autumn came and the editing schedule went bye-bye.  What can I do?  Autumn is like catnip to me!  Catnip!  I have NO idea how professional writers get anything done at this time of the year.  How can indoors compete?  It’s sooooo pretty out!  I’d ache if I stayed indoors too long with autumn happening all around me.  My bohemian roots run deep.  I’d rather be taking pictures of ginger colored leaves than sit at my desk and stare at my own words.  I need to take time out to experience the world so when the weather changes again, maybe I’ll have something worth writing about, or at least some really fun memories!  He!  He!

Have a wonderful day!

Juli

    1. Step 1 Move away from your computer.
Step 2 Open front and go outside.
Step 3 Stand out there for at least 5 minutes.
Step 4 Breath in fresh air and enjoy the pretty, pretty day.
*Lather, rinse, and repeat as needed. It’s gorgeous out there!!! sigh… 😉
