You know you live in a small town when Pumpkinfest is your favorite festival of the entire year. I love small town life!!!
Hubby, Kiddo, and I walked to the festival yesterday, painted our ceramic pumpkins, and shopped the local Farmer’s Market. This year, we met the kindest woman. She was giving out free samples of her cold brewed coffee. Delicious! Hubby tried to buy a bag of her locally roasted coffee beans with his debit card, but the woman didn’t have a card reader and could only take cash. When Hubby realized he didn’t have enough cash on him the elderly woman said, “That’s okay, I’ll be here next Saturday. Go on ahead and take a bag. You can pay me next week. I trust you.” I couldn’t believe her generosity. Sometimes you NEED a reminder, it’s not all doom and gloom. There are a lot of good people in this world. (I had the cash on me, so I paid her right then.)
Thank you, Alice’s Gourmet Blends Fair Trade Coffee. We brewed a pot of French press coffee this morning. It was some of the best coffee I’ve ever had!!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

This reminds me of the time I had gone on a work trip (before I had a company credit card and had to use mine and get reimbursed) to San Antonio. Then, we traveled to the small town of Carrizo Springs, TX to tour a customer’s facility. When we got to the hotel, it turned out my credit card was over the limit. We were all trying to check in, and the hotel clerk said, “Don’t worry about it. I’ll give you your key, and you can let me know when you get it worked out with your credit card company.” I was amazed. There’s hope for this world.
