Ann Arbor, Michigan, Random Ramblings

Family Outing in Ann Arbor, Michigan

We had some family members come in from out of town. Really lovely! I met my 3-year-old niece for the first time. SO much fun! I do wish they lived closer to us, or we lived closer to them. I might need to borrow my niece for a tea party. Trust me, it’s NOT quite the same with nephews. Although…my kiddo and one of my nephews have taken “coffee breaks” together when everyone was little. LOL

Painting of former fire station which is now the Hands-On Museum. I can’t read the signature for proper attribution, but this painting hangs in one of the stairwells. I really love it!

We spent the afternoon at the Hands-On Museum in Ann Arbor, Michigan. If you’re ever in the area, this is a GREAT place to bring your children. It’s one of those places where kids are encouraged to interact with the exhibits. When my kiddo was little, we had a membership. Now that he’s a teen, he might be a little too old for the place. (Although, he said he had a good time.)

I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many Pokémon Go teams, as I did today. I suppose the weather was perfect for it. Still, it’s great to see dozens of adult teams out there, complete with matching t-shirts. (Hubby and I thought of you, Joleene Naylor!)

We had a Pedal Saloon siting! Doesn’t this look like fun? Waving hi back at you!!!

And check out these flower urns. There are tomatoes, chard, peppers, and eggplant mixed in with the decorative flowers. What a great idea!

All in all, it was a great outing. I’m a tired but happy auntie!
