How Victorians and Edwardians Faked Their Tiny Waists!

When I first started writing, I used to scroll through TONS of photos and websites looking for inspirational pics, especially pictures from the Victorian era through the 1920’s. I love the dress details, the men’s suits, and the HATS!

However, did you know that some of these pictures were faked? Yes! Photo editing has been happening for as long as there have been photos. I found this video from Karolina Żebrowska. She is a Polish historical fashion aficionado/costume designer.

I’m not saying that there weren’t women with ridiculously tiny waists once upon a time, but I do feel MUCH better knowing that this is more of a myth than a fact.
