Wow! These check-ins are turning out to be “Juli’s diary of why she hasn’t gotten her book completed.” LOL I’m looking at my week so far, and I’m thinking…whoa! My work schedule can get pretty crazy. There isn’t a pattern to it, at least not as far as I can see. I was up at 4:30 this morning to get ready for work, after working very late last night, or is it now today? Oh well! Enough of that nonsense. That’s what the coffee is for. 🙂
It’s the second week of ROW 80, a Round of Words in 80 Days.
ROW 80 is a friendly group that’s there to help writers focus on their writing goals. Each writer decides what they would like to accomplish in the next 80 days. We check in on Sundays and Wednesdays with their “linky tool” and are welcome to adjust our goals as we need to. If you’re late getting started, that’s OK. Round 1 lasts from January 2, 2012 through March 22, 2012.
Sunday: 1113 words written and visited the in-laws. Yay! Great start to my week!
Monday: 188 words written on my WIP and I wrote a short story/Blogophilia post: Any Way The Wind Blows. It’s also up on my Wattpad account.
Tuesday: Backed up my files!!!!! Wrote 199 words on my WIP.
Total words written: 1500 words. How did they come out to be an even number? Weird!
Goal for the week: 5,000 words.
Words left to write this week: 3,500 words
Have a great day!
Juli
I know you can, I know you can, I know you can…..get it written, get it written, get it written!
I was fascinated with last round of ROW80 how I did get into a groove probably because I knew I was accountable. I didn’t always reach my goals, but I loved knowing the report came due whether I wrote anything else or not.
The perfect nudge! I am glad to visit you today thanks to #ROW80!

Another Juli(e)…Yay! I love how you worded that, “the report came due whether I wrote anything else or not.” I think I NEED to have accountability in my writing. There’s so much I want to do, but unless I keep with it, I’m not going to reach my goals. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂 I can do it! I can do it! 😉

I mostly edit not write new words. I have to re write toally what I have so far on devil – and still have the kids to do but that takes tons of research. I’ve stopped making goals which is why nothing gets done perhaps?

I have to do something new, or I’m afraid I’ll keep getting the same results. 🙂 I keep saying that “this will be the year that I finish my book and self-publish.” I would really like that to be true this time.
