I’m doing NaNoWriMo, again. Oy Vey!!!

Just a quick blurb to say that yes, I will be participating in NaNoWriMo again this year.  This is my third year trying.

First year, I got in all my words.  Second year, no.

I’m less prepared this year than I’ve been in any of the previous years.  I’m not sure what that says about me.  All I know is that I didn’t officially make up my mind until midnight on November 1, 2012.  Yes.  I’m crazy that way.  I stayed up until 3ish in the morning, typing away like a fool, and though I’m sleepy this morning, I’m also feeling pretty good about my mess of a new project.

Do I still need to work on edits on my current book?  Yes.  Yes.  And triple Yes.  But…NaNo is a different kind of writing.  It’s more spontaneous, and right now, I think that’s what I need to get back on track.  Either that, or I’ll have yet another first draft taunting me.  Yikes!
