I’ve never tried a “Six Sentence Sunday” blog before, but it the ones I’ve read have been lots of fun. This excerpt is from chapter three of the first book in The Williamson Vampires series.

I was in no shape to make a good first impression. It was completely irrational, but I was terrified to meet the girl I was supposed to be responsible for. I kept reminding myself that I was a successful business owner, a strong, self-sufficient woman. That said, instead of taking a nap when I’d gone back to my hotel room, I’d spent hours going over what I would say and what I should wear. I was a train wreck that had been hit by lightening, after driving through the center of a nuclear blast. I smoothed my sweaty palms over my dress before I rang the doorbell.
Welcome Juli – it’s about time and I’ve been meaning to check you out long ago – am looking forward to more – Sue
