Mid January Thaw

I am aching for spring!  It’s seeped into my thoughts and crowded my brain with visions of gardens, and plants, and afternoons sitting on my deck.

Late autumn transplants seem to have taken root! YAY!

I usually roll with the weather.  Winter is supposed to be cold.  We’re supposed to have snow and frost.  That’s normal…at least it is around here.  However, it’s warming up outside.  It’s only 45°F, but it feels warmer than that, due to the humidity.  I’m like a love-sick teenager, waiting for the warm weather to come back.

See? Dismal day!
See? Dismal day!

Yesterday, it was foggy, and wet, and just plain dismal looking outside, and then around 3:00…the sun finally came out.  Heaven!  We don’t get much sunshine at this time of year.  Who am I kidding?  We don’t get much sunshine, PERIOD!  🙂  So when the sun finally decided to pay us a visit, my coworkers and I were all standing at the window, like we’d never seen sunshine before!  Ridiculous!  Fickled weather has us right where it wants us.  I better enjoy it now, before winter blasts us away once again.  😉

Have a great day!

    1. By 4:00 pm, it got up to 61! Wild weather, but I’ll take it. As long as it’s cold enough for ice sculptures on the 19th. There’s a couple of ice related events going on that day. 🙂
